What You'll Do:
- Lead and coordinate the work of electrical helpers/installers on site
- Interpret and execute electrical plans, blueprints, and specifications
- Assist in planning material and labor needs for assigned tasks or phases of work
- Ensure installations meet local, state, and national electrical codes
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members
- Monitor progress and provide regular updates to Management
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed and participate in safety meetings
- Identify and troubleshoot electrical issues and recommend corrective actions
- Assist in training and mentoring junior staff and apprentices
- Perform quality control checks and ensure the timely completion of work
Who We're Looking For:
The ideal candidate is someone who
- Has a high school diploma or GED; technical school or formal apprenticeship is preferred
- Has 3+ years of experience in commercial or residential electrical work (5+ years preferred)
- Demonstrates the ability to lead a team or crew
- Has a strong knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) and safety regulations
- Is proficient with electrical tools, testing equipment, and materials
- Shows excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Is reliable, punctual, and committed to high-quality workmanship
- Is able to take direction from Management and work well in a team environment
- Is able to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
- Demonstrates a willingness to work in various weather conditions and job site environments; must be able to work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and occasionally work off of platforms/scaffolding
- Is able to use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull: objects, materials, controls, and tools; and is able to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, squatting, sitting, and lifting
