PATIENT INFORMATION
  • Average Daily Volume: Up to 18 procedures per day (outpatient); 10-15 patients per day (inpatient)
  • Case Mix: Colonoscopy, Endoscopy
FACILITY INFORMATION
  • Specialty Backup Available: Yes, anesthesiologist and endoscopy unit staff
  • Support Staff Available: Advanced Practitioners, hospital support, office staff
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
  • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
  • Credentialing Timeline: 30 days
REQUIRED PROCEDURES
  • Colonoscopy
  • Endoscopy
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Board: Board Certified in Gastroenterology (ABIM)
  • Licenses: Active Florida Medical License
  • DEA / CDS: Active DEA required
  • Experience: At least 50 inpatient/consultative patient encounters in past 12 months; procedure log requirements as per facility
  • Other Qualifications: Up to date CV and Lee Attestation Form required; clean background and NPDB
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform outpatient GI endoscopic procedures including colonoscopy and endoscopy.
  • Note resulting pathology and coordinate follow-up with office staff.
  • Provide inpatient consultative services as needed.
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologist and endoscopy unit staff during procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with credentialing requirements.
