Sentara Foot & Ankle Specialists Belleharbour is seeking to hire aFull-Time Referral Coordinator in Suffolk, VA.

Position Hours:Monday-Friday, 8a - 430p, Dayshift. NO NIGHTS, HOLIDAYS or WEEKENDS!

Position Location: Suffolk, VA

Overview

Provides a direct link between patients, primary care providers, specialty providers, and insurance companies. Coordinates referral process from primary care providers as well as pre-authorization approvals for drugs and other services as ordered by provider.

Medical terminology preferred. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and third-party payers. One year of experience with insurance verification/referral processing preferred. Knowledge of EPIC preferred. Proficient in use of computers and excellent organizational skills.

Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience

• Health Insurance Plans 1 year experience required
• Medical terminology preferred
• One year of experience with insurance verification/referral processing preferred
• Knowledge of EPIC preferred
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and third-party payer
• Strong Organizational Skills

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $21.73 - $32.91 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
