A Muskegon Hospital is looking for one Locum Psychiatrist to fill their part time need!

Schedule:
  • Sporadic coverage for 2026.
  • Weekday coverage
  • Monday - Friday (8a-5p)
  • Call Schedule: 5p-8a, unrestricted call if able

Open Dates:
  • 2/12, 2/13, 2/16-2/20, 2/23-3/1.
  • Sporadic ongoing coverage.

Details:
  • Practice Setting: Inpatient Psychiatric Department
  • Average Number of Patients Per Day: 12
  • Total Number of Beds: 27
  • Number of Psychiatrist in the Group: 5
  • Number of Advanced Practice Providers Support: 6
  • Number of Psychologists: 0
  • Locum Tenen Psychiatrist Required to Supervise Other Healthcare Providers: Yes, Psychiatric NP
  • Describe Referral/Transfer Protocol: Referrals primarily coming from Muskegon and Grand Rapids EDs
  • Safety/Security Measures in Place: Staff duress system, security on site 24/7
  • No pediatric patients
  • EMR: Epic
  • Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 3 months but need ASAP

Required to have Familiarity with:
  • Involuntary Commitments
  • Seclusion therapy
  • Pharmacotherapy
  • Group Therapy
  • Restraint Application
Submission Requirements
  • Board Certified (Psychiatry) - REQUIRED
  • Active MI License - REQUIRED
  • BLS - REQUIRED
  • Must be available to cover the dates listed - REQUIRED - no exceptions, note at time of name clear
