Cardiology Physician

Facility: Greenbrier Valley Medical Center

Coverage Type: Locum tenens

Start Date: November 2, 2026, ASAP emergency privileges may be available for providers with a clean background

Contract Length: 6 months, with option to extend

Positions Available: 1

Coverage Needed: 2 3 weeks per month

Patient Population: Adults, age 18+

Patient Volume: Approximately patients per day

Support Staff: Technicians and RNs

Interview Process: Teams interview

Travel: Covered by the client

Clinic Hours: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM

Hospital Call: 24-hour call, with frequency depending on the call schedule

During hospital call weeks:

• Monday, Wednesday, and Friday: Clinic from 1:00 PM 4:00 PM

• Tuesday and Thursday: Full clinic days

Minimal nighttime calls expected.

Evaluate and manage new and established cardiology patients.

Perform cardiac risk assessments and EKGs, including interpretation.

Place Holter monitors and perform pacemaker checks.

Supervise EKGs and conduct treadmill and nuclear stress testing.

Perform transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs) and cardioversions.

New patient appointments: 30 minutes

Established patient appointments: 15 minutes

Minimum 2 years of experience

Active West Virginia medical license or IMLC eligibility

Clean background required

EKG interpretation, TEE, and nuclear stress testing skills required

CSR required

DEA registration required

Emergency privileges may be available for eligible providers with a clean background.
