  • Specialty Backup Available: Specialists available for basic procedures
  • Support Staff Available: RNs, RN Manager, Tele health support
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
  • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
  • Temporary Privileges Available: Yes (emergency temps with clean background)
  • Credentialing Timeline: 90 days
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Licenses: Active MN license or IMLC
  • Board: BC/BE in Hospitalist/Internal Medicine
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide comprehensive hospitalist coverage for New Ulm Medical Center.
  • Manage admissions and rounding for the Critical Care Unit (CCU).
  • Handle a daily census of approximately 15-25 patients.
  • Respond to codes and stabilize patients, collaborating with the 24/7 ED physician.
  • Coordinate timely transfers of higher-acuity patients to Abbott Northwestern Hospital.
