We are seeking Emergency Medicine physicians to fill four openings at a high-volume regional medical center in Lima, Ohio. This medium-to-high acuity ED sees about 56,000 visits a year, with robust physician and APC staffing, Level II trauma care, and the energy of an accredited EM residency program.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The medical center is a Level II trauma center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Heart and Vascular Center, with a NICU, cath lab, MRI, and PET/CT on site. It is the main training site for an accredited Emergency Medicine residency program with 18 residents.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
- Annual ED volume: approximately 56,000 visits (about 1.9 patients per hour)
- 42 ED beds
- Acuity: medium-high; admission rate approximately 25%
- 47 hours of physician coverage and 33 hours of APC coverage daily
- 8-hour shifts (10-hour shifts on weekends)
- EMR: Epic
- Teaching opportunities with an 18-resident EM program
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- $219/hour for day shifts
- $239/hour for night shifts
- Rates can increase up to $250/hour
- Employed (W-2) position with benefits
- Sign-on bonus available

- Active Ohio medical license
