Hospitalist Physician

Locum hospitalist coverage at a 25-bed critical access hospital in the New Ulm, MN area, with 15 inpatient beds. Shifts are scheduled day shifts with no call. The assignment starts in January 2027 and runs about 6 months. Daily census runs about 15 to 25 patients, with admissions and rounding in the CCU. There is no ICU, so ventilator management may be needed until a patient can be transferred. A 24/7 emergency physician is on site for codes and backup, and the unit is supported by RNs, an RN manager, and telehealth, with no APPs. The hospital uses Epic. Compensation is highly competitive and shared directly. Travel is covered. A Minnesota license or an IMLC letter of qualification is required.
