Opportunity to work in a specialized Cytopathology laboratory

Responsibilities:

Prepare and process cytology specimens for diagnostic testing

Perform laboratory testing and accurately document results
-
Maintain quality control, equipment, and laboratory records
-
Verify patient information and specimen accuracy
-
Assist with training new staff, students, and pathology residents
Qualifications:
-
Education and laboratory training appropriate for a Cytotechnician I or II position
-
Ability to work under the supervision of a NYSED-licensed laboratory supervisor

Strong understanding of laboratory procedures and quality control
-
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
-
Proficiency with laboratory computer systems
-
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
