Mission Hospital, located in Asheville, North Carolina, is excited to welcome a
seasoned/experienced Trauma Medical Director / acute care surgeon to our busy ACS Level 1 program.
Qualified Candidates: - Board certified in General Surgery
- Board certified in Surgical Critical Care
- ATLS certification
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
- Must have experience as Medical Director or Associate Medical Director in a Level I or II Trauma Center
- Willingness to perform in hybrid role; targeting 40%-50% administrative duties/responsibilities
- Please note that this position does not offer visa support
Program Highlights: - Team covers equal mix of trauma, surgical critical care and emergency general surgery
- No 24-hour shift requirement; day shifts are 10.5 hours; nights are 13.5

- Surgical residency offers opportunity to teach
- Resident support on trauma, surgical critical care, and emergency general surgery services
- APP support on trauma, surgical critical care, and emergency general surgery services
