Locums - Salem, Virginia, NP/PA CVT Job
Clinical RoleRecruitWell is seeking a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for locums Cardiovascular/Thoracic Surgery coverage in Salem, Virginia. This full-time role includes OR, inpatient, clinic, ICU, and call responsibilities with first-assist duties in the CVOR.

Assignment Details
Full-time coverage
Day shift: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Daytime responsibilities may include hospital, OR, ICU, and clinic coverage
Call: 4:30 PM - 7:00 AM the following morning
24/7 coverage support needed during scheduled assignment blocks
Clinical Details & Responsibilities
Provide Cardiothoracic Surgery call coverage
Round on inpatients
Manage clinic patients
Work alongside the Cardiothoracic Surgeon in the CVOR
Function as surgical first assist
Perform endoscopic vein harvesting
Assist with additional surgical procedures as needed
Complete timely clinical documentation
Approximately 25 patients

Requirements
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Board Certification required
Active Virginia license required
BCLS required
ACLS required
Must be experienced with surgical first assist and endoscopic vein harvesting
