Drive a company owned automatic Kenworth T680 sleeper that you never pay a dime to run. Haul temperature-controlled pharmaceuticals across the Western US. Every run starts and ends at our Sparks, NV dock. No load boards, no brokers, no guessing where your next load is coming from.
What you'll earn
- $0.65 per mile on average, empty miles included. Every mile counts, Sparks to Sparks.
- 1,700-3,000 round trip miles on average per week ($1,900 average )
- $1,500 guaranteed weekly minimum on slow weeks as long as you are available
- Bonus pay for every delivery
- $1,000 sign-on bonus (paid after 6 months)
- Annual bonus
- Zero deductions. Truck, trailer, fuel, insurance and maintenance are all covered.
- Passenger ride along program
- Pet rider program
What the job looks like
- Regional round trips through the 11 Western states only, no cross-country runs
- Load in Sparks, deliver to several stops, and head back to Sparks for your next load
- Receive a manifest with load details;
- Light freight, typically under 10,000 lbs per load
- You'll help load staged pallets at the dock (pallet jack provided) and unload as needed
- Plenty of California deliveries, so you need to be comfortable driving there
What we're looking for
- At least 1 year of CDL-A experience
- Your own current medical card
- A good driving record
- Willingness to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Hazmat endorsement is a plus (must obtain within 60 days of start)
This is a 1099 independent contractor position.
