What You ll Do
- Provide inpatient cardiology coverage alongside an inpatient advanced practice clinician.
- Round on hospitalized patients and respond to inpatient cardiology consultations.
- Perform or assist with urgent inpatient cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Evaluate and manage cases involving temporary pacemakers.
- Respond to STEMI activations and other urgent cardiac conditions.
- Perform or interpret stat echocardiograms as clinically indicated.
- Maintain pager coverage for the full duration of the assignment schedule.
What You Need
Required - Interventional cardiology expertise.
- Proficiency with transesophageal echocardiography (TEE).
- Nuclear cardiology expertise.
- Ability to commit to the recurring 5-day long-weekend schedule beginning in January, including coverage through at least Monday morning when scheduled.
Preferred - Experience providing inpatient cardiology consultation and hospital-based coverage.
- Experience managing urgent cardiac procedures and acute cardiac presentations.
About the Assignment
This assignment supports the inpatient cardiology service at a leading facility in Brainerd, Minnesota. The provider will work with an inpatient advanced practice clinician while supporting hospital rounding, consultations, urgent cardiac procedures, temporary pacemaker cases, STEMI response, and emergent echocardiography needs.
