PATIENT INFORMATION
  • Patient Demographics: Adults
  • Patient Volume/Census: 20-22 clinic patients per day; 3-4 hospital consults and 4-6 EP cases per day
  • Case Mix: Electrophysiology, heart rhythm disorders, ablations
FACILITY INFORMATION
  • No. of Beds in Department: 268
  • EMR System: Cerner
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
  • Credentialing Timeline: 30 days
REQUIRED PROCEDURES
  • Required:
    • Cardiac electrophysiology; specifically, heart rhythm disturbances
    • Ablations - must show 100 EP cases in last 2 years with emphasis on ablations
    • Left sided ablations and epicardial ablations
    • Moderate sedation
    • Abbott Ensite-X Mapping system
  • Preferred:
    • TEEs

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Licenses: Active AZ license required; willing to license
  • Board: BC or BE required
  • DEA: AZ DEA registration required
  • Certifications: ACLS required
  • Experience: Minimum Experience Required: 1 year
  • Other Qualifications: Must be comfortable doing moderate sedation on their own; must be comfortable using Abbott Ensite-X Mapping system
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide outpatient and inpatient electrophysiology consultations and follow-up.
  • Perform cardiac ablations including left-sided and epicardial ablations.
  • Interpret and manage heart rhythm disturbances.
  • Perform TEEs and administer moderate sedation as needed.
  • Utilize Abbott Ensite-X mapping system for EP procedures.
