About Us:
Christmas Decor by Hillco, LLC is Wichita's premier holiday lighting company. Every year, we light up hundreds of homes and businesses across Wichita and the surrounding area. We're growing fast for the 2026 season and need reliable, hardworking people to join our crew.
This is outdoor, hands-on, active work. If you like working with your hands, don't want to be stuck inside, and like seeing a finished product at the end of the day, you'll love this.
The Job:
You will be part of a 2-3 person crew installing custom Christmas lights and holiday decorations on residential homes and commercial properties. No two houses are the same.
Schedule & Pay:
- Season: Early October through mid-January Peak is Oct 15 - Dec 15
- Hours: Full-Time position available. Monday-Saturday, 8am - 5pm. Overtime available in peak season.
- Pay: $15 - $25/hr depending on experience + Performance Bonuses
- Bi-Weekly Pay
What You'll Do:
- Install Christmas lights on rooflines, trees, bushes, walkways, and commercial buildings
- Hang lights safely from ladders, roofs, and lifts safety training provided
- Install timers, extension cords, and light clips - clean, professional installs
- Provide excellent customer service when homeowners are home
- Remove lights in January - careful takedown and packing
- Load/unload materials and keep truck/trailer organized
- Work as part of a team to complete 3-6 jobs per day
What You Need:
- MUST be comfortable working on ladders and on roofs - 1 and 2 story homes
- Able to lift 50+ lbs and work outside in cold weather
- Reliable transportation to our shop
- Valid driver's license - clean driving record a big plus
- Reliable and on-time - customers are counting on us
- Positive attitude and works well on a team
- 18+ years old
- Required: Working smartphone (iPhone or Android) capable of downloading apps - Used daily for clocking in/out, crew chats, and customer job photos.
Big Plus But NOT Required:
- Experience in roofing, landscaping, painting, electrical, construction, or Christmas lights
- Experience pulling a trailer or driving a work truck
- Customer service experience
