Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA)
Location: Coatesville, PA
Schedule: Choice of a five-day (Monday Friday) or four-day (Monday Thursday) schedule
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Pay: $28 30 per hour (DOE)
Overview:
Our medical practice in Coatesville is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to support our dentists and patients. New grads and experienced EFDAs alike are welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform chairside and four-handed dentistry to support dentists during restorative, preventive, and diagnostic procedures
- Place and remove rubber dams, and apply fluoride treatments and sealants
- Place, contour, and finish dental restorations per Pennsylvania EFDA regulations and dentist directives
- Perform coronal polishing and prepare teeth for procedures
- Take, process, and mount dental X-rays, ensuring diagnostic quality and patient safety
- Take dental impressions and prepare materials and trays for procedures
- Maintain accurate dental charting and documentation, and follow infection control and sterilization protocols
- Provide patient education and oral hygiene instruction
Qualifications:
- Current X-ray certification required
- Experience in a multi-provider or group dental practice preferred
- Bilingual a plus
