Locums - Plano, Texas, NP/PA Pediatric Critical Care Opening

Position Overview
A specialized pediatric critical care team of physicians and nurses provides collaborative, round-the-clock monitoring and care for patients before and after surgery. The team is seeking an experienced NP/PA to provide scheduled coverage and participate in required on-call coverage.
Schedule & Coverage
Three 12-hour day shifts per week
Shift hours: 7:00 AM-7:00 PM
Scheduled coverage and on-call availability required
Minimum call requirements may apply
Must have previous CICU (Cardiac Intensive Care Unit) experience
Education & Experience Requirements
Master's or post-master's degree required
Graduation from a Physician Assistant program with practice authority in Texas required
Advanced specialty courses required by DCH Credentialing must be completed within the required timeframe and maintained on an ongoing basis
Recommended: 2-3 years of pediatric critical care experience
Certifications & Licensure
Advanced Practice Certification
One of the following board certifications:
- Certified Pediatric Physician Assistant -Primary Care (CPNP-PC)
- Certified Pediatric Physician Assistant -Acute Care (CPNP-AC)
- Family Nurse Practitioner, Board Certified (FNP-BC)
- Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, Board Certified (NNP-BC)
Active, unencumbered Texas Physician Assistant and Registered Nurse licenses required
BLS, PALS, and ACLS required
