An opportunity is available for an Orthopedic Trauma Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join a high-acuity orthopedic trauma teamin Carbondale, Illinois. This role focuses exclusively on orthopedic trauma andacute orthopedic care, including complex injuries involving the pelvis andacetabulum. There is no elective orthopedic component.
The APP will provide trauma and emergency orthopediccare, assist with follow-up management, and collaborate with the orthopedicteam in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Schedule & Compensation 10-hour shifts
Full-time schedule: 175 shifts per year
On-site APP coverage from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30p.m., seven days a week
AnnualSalary: $120,000
Additional shifts beyond 175 per yearcompensated at $686 per shift, paid quarterly

Clinical Responsibilities Evaluate and manage orthopedic trauma andacute orthopedic conditions.
Provide care for complex injuries, includingpelvic and acetabular fractures.
Assist with emergency and inpatientorthopedic trauma management.
Participate in two morning follow-up clinicsfor ongoing trauma care.
Coordinate treatment plans and follow-up carewith the orthopedic surgery team.
Collaborate with physicians and otherhealthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
Qualifications Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistantwith appropriate licensure.
Orthopedic, trauma, or acute care experiencepreferred.
