Surgery - General Physician Assistant

An opportunity is available for an experienced NursePractitioner or Physician Assistant to join a Cardiothoracic Surgery team inthe Denver, CO area. This overnight role provides coverage in a highlyresourced hospital, supporting patients in both the ICU and inpatient setting.

Schedule & Compensation

Night shifts: 5:00 PM-6:30 AM

14 shifts per month

Two weeks on / two weeks off

Annual compensation: $210,000

Clinical Setting & Patient Volume

Highly resourced hospital environment

Coverage across the cardiothoracic surgeryward and ICU

Typical nightly census:

o 3-6 ICU patients

o 10-15 inpatients

Responsibilities

Provide overnight clinical coverage forcardiothoracic surgery patients.

Assess and manage patients in the ICU andinpatient setting.

Monitor patient conditions and respond tochanges in clinical status.

Coordinate care with physicians, nursingstaff, and multidisciplinary teams.

Support continuity of care and communicateclinical updates to the daytime team.

Requirements

Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistantwith eligibility for South Dakota licensure.

ICU or cardiac clinical experience required.

Cardiothoracic surgery or critical careexperience strongly preferred.

BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Acute-care specialty certification preferred.
