Hospitalist Physician

Healthcare United is seeking a BE/BC Hospitalist for a full-time opportunity in the Litchfield Area, Connecticut.

Practice broad inpatient Internal Medicine in a community setting with a closed ICU and access to specialty consultation.

Overview

• Specialty: Hospitalist
• Location: Litchfield Area, Connecticut
• Practice Setting: Community hospital
• Work Schedule: Seven days on followed by seven days off; daytime role.
• Patient / Case Volume: Daily shared-service census of approximately patients, shared between day and night providers; approximately 5 10 admissions per day across the service
• Support Staff / Resources: Typically two providers per shift, with an interdisciplinary team, specialty support and a closed ICU supported by Intensivists
• Compensation: Competitive base compensation plus incentives
• New Grads/Practicing: New graduates welcome to apply.

What You Can Expect

• Support admissions, inpatient treatment, discharge planning, and coordination with community physicians.
• The ICU is closed and supported by Intensivists; work alongside an interdisciplinary Hospital Medicine team.
• Contribute to improvements in patient flow, safety, and continuity of care.
