Hospitalist Physician

Healthcare United is seeking a BE/BC Hospitalist for a full-time opportunity in the Wallingford Area, Connecticut.

Manage adults who need monitoring and treatment beyond the general medical floor, with escalation to Critical Care when needed.

• Practice Setting: Hospital Step Down and Progressive Care Unit
• Work Schedule: Full-time day position
• Support Staff / Resources: Intensivists, consultants, APPs, nursing, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and case management
• New Grads/Practicing: Experience preferred; new graduates welcome to apply.

What You Can Expect

• Manage admissions, daily reassessment, discharge planning, and transitions for Step Down and Progressive Care patients.
• Clinical needs include sepsis, arrhythmias, neurologic and metabolic disorders, gastrointestinal bleeding, and postoperative monitoring.
• Manage High-Flow Oxygen, Non-Invasive Ventilation, and telemetry needs within the role; recognize deterioration and arrange ICU transfer.
