Senior AutoCAD Drafter - Custom Windows & Doors
Location: Oxnard, CA
Pay: $30-$36 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:00 AM-2:30 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time
We are seeking an experienced Senior AutoCAD Drafter with a background in construction, architecture, or manufacturing. The ideal candidate has strong AutoCAD skills, can interpret blueprints and create detailed shop drawings, and is comfortable managing multiple projects independently. Custom architectural windows and doors experience is highly preferred.
What You'll Do:
- Create, develop, and revise detailed AutoCAD drawings, including shop drawings, elevations, sections, and technical details throughout all project phases.
- Prepare professional submittal packages containing product information, specifications, and supporting drawings.
- Review and interpret architectural blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate dimensions and manufacturing requirements.
- Collaborate with project coordinators, design personnel, and manufacturing teams to resolve drawing discrepancies and implement revisions.
- Maintain organized CAD files, drawing libraries, and accurate revision records.
- Coordinate multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality.
- Follow established company procedures, quality standards, and workplace safety requirements.
What We're Looking For:
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2018 or newer.
- Proven ability to create accurate technical drawings and detailed shop drawings.
- Professional drafting experience in architectural, mechanical, construction, or manufacturing environments.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
- Custom architectural window and door drafting experience is highly preferred, including nonstandard configurations and manufacturing details.
- Ability to work independently, identify drawing conflicts, and perform geometry and dimensional calculations.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Education & Experience:
- Five (5) or more years of professional AutoCAD drafting experience preferred.
- Construction, architectural, or manufacturing industry experience required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical drafting education or related training is a plus.
Compensation & Work Schedule
- Pay: $30-$36 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM.
- Employment: Full-Time.
