AUTOCAD DRAFTER
Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a talented and detail-oriented AutoCAD DRAFTER in Johnson City, Texas. In this dynamic and collaborative role, you will be responsible for bringing essential infrastructure projects to life by updating floor plans, developing evacuation maps, and partnering directly with engineering leaders across multiple Texas Hill Country locations.
In an AutoCAD Designer job you'll be responsible for:
Updating and modifying existing AutoCAD floor plans, schematics, and construction assemblies
Traveling to various site locations to verify layouts, take measurements, and collect accurate field data
Designing comprehensive evacuation maps and furniture layouts
Partnering with the engineering team to review and revise material guides and line drawings
What you'll need:
Proven proficiency in AutoCAD
Strong ability to read, interpret, and work with architectural drawings
MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) experience is a strong plus
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation for field visits
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and a track record of reliable attendance
Additional Information:
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week
Work Environment: Hybrid potential after training!
Field Travel: Occasional travel to site offices with paid mileage.
