As a CAD Coordinator, you'll turn design concepts and technical requirements into clear, accurate drawings and models. You'll use computer-aided design (CAD) software to support projects across building, engineering, and mechanical design, coordinating with project teams to keep documentation consistent and ready for review. Your impact: Accurate construction details and code-aware drawings help design and construction teams make informed decisions and deliver safer, more buildable projects.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Play lead role on assigned projects, coordinating plumbing and/or mechanical pipe systems
-Work through MEP coordination process with General Contractor's project coordination team to resolve coordination conflicts and produce fully coordinated MEP model
-Attend weekly coordination meetings throughout the projects MEP coordination process.
-Produce coordinated plumbing and/or mechanical pipe install drawings for assigned projects.
-Collaborate with Project Manager and Pre-Fabrication Department Manager in developing a plan to meet projects construction schedule
-Generate layout information for install of hangers and floor penetrations.
-Produce plumbing and mechanical pipe spool assembly drawings from coordinated models for prefabrication.
-Produce as built drawings for project closeout.
Education/Software Experience Requirements
