Executive Chef - Confidential Upscale Restaurant Group Baton Rouge, LA
Up to $100K + Bonus
Self Opportunity Inc. is partnering with an established, upscale restaurant group known for steak, seafood and Italian-inspired cuisine. Their culture centers on hospitality: every guest should leave with a memorable experience, and food and service matter equally.
They're looking for an Executive Chef to own all food and back-of-house operations for a full-service restaurant and the group's events and catering business. This role is for a hands-on leader who wants to be out front, own the kitchen and bring fresh, innovative ideas to a respected brand.
What You'll Do
- Lead all culinary and BOH operations
- Oversee private events, banquets and catering
- Develop menus and drive culinary innovation
- Hire, train and develop the kitchen team, including Sous Chefs
- Own food cost, labor, inventory and vendor relationships
- Keep quality, consistency, safety and sanitation standards high
- Partner with ownership as a visible leader in the business
What You Bring
- 5+ years of Executive Chef or Chef de Cuisine experience in upscale or high-volume restaurants
- Strong background in steak, seafood and/or Italian cuisine
- Banquet, events or catering experience strongly preferred
- Proven skill at managing food and labor costs
- Creative, forward-thinking and comfortable in front of guests
- A leader who builds strong teams and takes full ownership
Compensation: Up to $100K base + bonus
