Join our team as an Appliance Service Technician, working independently across a local service area to diagnose, repair, and install parts for residential and light commercial appliances. Reporting to the owner or general manager, you'll service refrigerators, washing machines, garbage disposals, microwaves, dishwashers, ovens, dryers, high-end appliances, and other household equipment. This is an appliance repair and refrigeration role-not an HVAC position-with a focus on delivering safe, reliable solutions and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Perform appliance diagnostics and repair services for residential and light commercial customers.
- Repair refrigerators and other appliance refrigeration systems.
- Install and replace appliance parts with precision.
- Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and mechanical issues using technical schematics and manuals.
- Use hand tools, power tools, electrical testing equipment, and ladders safely.
- Conduct maintenance and operational checks to help prevent future breakdowns.
- Manage inventory and operate company vehicles responsibly during local service calls.
- Explain repairs clearly and provide professional customer service.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in home appliance repair.
- Experience with appliance diagnostics, troubleshooting, and mechanical repair.
- Knowledge of electrical testing, refrigeration systems, and plumbing basics.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and manuals.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
- Experience with inventory management.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical training in appliance repair, electrical systems, refrigeration, or a related field.
- Valid driver's license.
