What You'll Do
You'll set up, operate, and troubleshoot injection molding equipment to produce high-quality plastic components. You'll:
- Set up injection molding machines, install molds, and prepare equipment for production
- Adjust machine settings and processing parameters to maintain quality and efficient cycle times
- Perform mold changes, machine startups, and production changeovers
- Monitor production and troubleshoot machine, tooling, and processing issues
- Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment
- Complete first-piece inspections and required quality documentation
- Prepare and dry engineering-grade plastics, including nylon, acetal, and other thermoplastic materials
- Blend virgin and regrind materials according to established procedures
- Identify and correct molding defects, including flash, short shots, sink marks, warpage, and dimensional issues
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and assist with mold cleaning and minor tooling repairs
- Work with team members to improve quality, reduce scrap, and minimize downtime
- Maintain accurate production and quality records while following safety procedures
What We're Looking For
We value experience, but we also care about mechanical ability, attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to solve problems.
Ideally, you'll bring:
- A high school diploma or GED
- Experience setting up injection molding machines and performing mold changes
- Knowledge of molding processes and the ability to troubleshoot equipment
- The ability to read blueprints, process sheets, and work instructions
- Familiarity with engineering resins such as nylon, acetal, polypropylene, ABS, and polyethylene
- Experience using precision measuring equipment
- Basic computer skills for production reporting and quality documentation
- Strong communication skills, teamwork, and dependable attendance
Experience with scientific molding, robotic part removal systems, forklifts, overhead cranes, or preventative maintenance is a plus.

Available Shifts: 2nd shift: 2:30 PM-11:00 PM 3rd shift: 10:00 PM-6:30 AM
This position involves standing and walking for extended periods, bending, reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. Work takes place in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, moving machinery, and moderate noise. Required personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn.
