Job Summary Looking for a highly skilled and experienced Residential Electrician. Work to include wiring new homes, remodels and additions, completing service calls, lead a crew, communicate well with builders and homeowners. Track and report materials and hours at the end of the day for each job. Attention to detail and problem solving skills are important. Looking for someone honest, dependable, and trustworthy who will work hard, efficiently and safely, with a positive attitude. Areas serviced include, but are not limited to Chapel Hill, Durham, Hillsborough, and Pittsboro.
Responsibilities: - Installs, services, and repairs electrical panels, wiring, lighting, and fixtures as well as specialized electrical equipment and machinery.
- Operates powered hand tools and other specialized electrical equipment.
- Ability to create and read electrical circuit diagrams.
- Requisitions material and supplies from vendors; calls vendors to discuss and/or coordinate electrical repairs and parts.
- Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve goals.
- Provides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill including mentoring electrical apprentices.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
- 7 - 10 years in the electrical trade and completion of an apprenticeship, residential preferred.
- Experience in leadership role required.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects
- Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and measurements
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Prioritizes tasks and handles multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
