THE ROLE
We're hiring an experienced Garage Door Technician to handle service calls, repairs, and new installations for residential and commercial customers. You'll work independently in a company vehicle, representing our business in customers' homes and workplaces every day.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Respond to scheduled and emergency service calls, diagnosing issues quickly and accurately
- Repair and replace torsion and extension springs safely and to manufacturer specifications
- Install new residential and commercial garage doors, including sectional, roll-up, and overhead doors
- Install, program, and repair garage door openers and operators (chain, belt, screw, jackshaft, and commercial units)
- Replace and adjust cables, rollers, hinges, drums, tracks, weatherstripping, and other hardware
- Perform safety inspections and routine maintenance, including sensor and auto-reverse testing
- Explain problems and repair options clearly to customers and provide accurate quotes
- Complete work orders, collect payment, and document jobs using our software
- Keep the service vehicle organized, stocked, and maintained
- Follow all safety procedures and leave every job site clean
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- 2+ years of hands-on commercial and residential garage door repair and installation experience
- Confident, safe working knowledge of spring repair and replacement
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift 75+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in all weather conditions
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
- Professional, friendly attitude with customers
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Preferred:
- Commercial door experience (rolling steel, high-lift, fire doors, dock equipment)
- IDEA/IDA certification or similar training
- Experience with LiftMaster, Genie, Chamberlain, or similar brands
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

SCHEDULE
Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM, with rotating on-call shifts for emergency service
