Provide outpatient evaluation and ongoing management for patients with acute and chronic pulmonary conditions (e.g., asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, lung nodules, bronchiectasis, sleep-related breathing disorders). Perform and interpret pulmonary function tests, inpatient pulmonary function tests, perform bronchoscopic procedures, and provide inpatient pulmonary consults, including management of complex respiratory conditions. Develop individualized treatment plans, coordinate care with referring providers and ensure appropriate follow-up. Work closely with primary care, cardiology, oncology, infectious disease, and other specialties to provide coordinated care.
Education and Experience Requirements
Requires an M.D. or foreign equivalent; completion of residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Pulmonology and Critical Care; and eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Tennessee.
