Position & Coverage Details
24-hour in-house coverage.
Two-clinician coverage model: one physician and one midwife scheduled for all 24-hour shifts.
Hospitalists provide backup support to midwives.
Backup is available to hospitalists through the midwife team.
Hospitalists do not provide backup coverage for Family Practice.
Hospitalists provide both OB and GYN coverage.
Patient Volume & Clinical Details
Approximately 272 deliveries per month hospital-wide.
Estimated 140 deliveries per month managed by the hospitalist team.
Average estimated monthly hospitalist patient encounters: 949.
Approximately 37.7% of encounters involve high-risk diagnoses.
GYN accounts for 52.7% of surgeries at this site.
Hospital Resources & Support
Level III NICU on-site.
Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) on-site.
In-house anesthesia coverage.
First-assist support available to hospitalists; physicians are not required to perform first-assist procedures.
Circumcisions are not required.
