Histology Technician Opening in Milwaukee, WI - Permanent Hire

This is a full-time position offering a four day workweek. The Histology Technician will work within a pathology laboratory and rotate between locations in Wauwatosa, Oconomowoc, and Glendale.

Key responsibilities include:

• Tissue processing, embedding, microtomy/cutting, and staining
• Cryostat and frozen section work
• Accessioning and preparing tissue specimens
• Grossing and inking, when qualified
• Slide preparation and quality control
• Troubleshooting histology and specimen-quality issues
• Maintaining CLIA-required QA/QC documentation

Requirements:

• Associate s degree
• Completion of a NAACLS histology training program
• HT(ASCP) certification OR eligibility to sit for the exam
• Certification must be obtained within one year of hire
• 2+ years of histology experience preferred
