As a Septic Maintenance Technician Apprentice, you will support septic pumping, tank inspection, waste removal, system maintenance, and related field services for both residential and commercial systems. You will be paired with an experienced technician while developing expertise in equipment operation, route driving, safety procedures, and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Perform septic pumping, tank inspections, waste removal, and system maintenance.
- Operate septic service equipment and commercial vehicles.
- Drive assigned routes and complete vehicle inspections.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain compliance with applicable requirements.
- Clean work sites after completing service activities.
- Document service work accurately.
- Support mechanical troubleshooting and wastewater handling activities.
- Provide professional customer service to residential and commercial customers.
Required Qualifications
- Class B CDL.
- Valid DOT certification.
- Good driving record.
- Tanker endorsement.
- Air brake qualification.
- Ability to drive a manual transmission.
Preferred Qualifications
- Class A CDL.
- At least 1 year of septic system maintenance experience.
- Experience with septic tank maintenance and wastewater handling.
- Commercial vehicle operation experience.
- Experience with vehicle inspections, safety procedures, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Physical stamina and strong customer service skills.
