Baptist Health Medical Group is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible hospitalist to join our team of six physicians and one nurse practitioner at Baptist Health Richmond Hospital in Richmond, Kentucky. Our physician-led program is looking for an energetic, compassionate physician to join us in providing inpatient care.
Practice Highlights
Full-time hospitalist opportunity with strong APP support
Open 8-bed ICU
The emergency department team runs codes
Three daytime rounders, one swing hospitalist, and one overnight hospitalist scheduled each day
An average of 18 patients per daytime rounder per day
The swing hospitalist handles admissions
Shift Schedule
Hospitalists work seven days on and seven days off, averaging approximately 15 shifts per month and 182 shifts per year. Physicians rotate through day, swing, and night shifts on a round-robin schedule. Rotate through nights every 8 weeks.

Daily call coverage runs from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m., when the swing hospitalist comes on duty. During each seven-day work block, two physicians alternate morning call, with each covering every other day.
