Position: Welder Fitter
Pay: $24.00/hour
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm
Location: New Albany, IN
Integrity Trade Services is hiring a Welder Fitter to start IMMEDIATELY at $24/hour. Receive comprehensive benefits through ITS upon hire!
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
- Measure, cut, and fit metal components using torches, saws, grinders, and clamps
- Set up welding equipment and perform welding tasks using MIG, TIG, or Stick processes
- Inspect welded components for quality and compliance with standards
- Maintain and operate fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform layout work and tack welding in preparation for final welds
- Conduct quality checks on finished products and make necessary adjustments
- Follow all safety guidelines and keep a clean, organized work area
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or welding certification preferred
- Proven experience as a welder fitter or similar role
- Proficient in reading blueprints and measuring tools
- Strong knowledge of welding methods (MIG, TIG, Stick)
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding environments
- Familiarity with safety standards in fabrication settings
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and work ethic
