CDL A Driver - Local DeliveriesLocation: Colonie, NY
Pay: $37.45 per hour, paid weekly
Position Overview We are seeking dependable, safety-conscious Class A Drivers for local delivery routes in the Colonie, NY area. Drivers will transport refrigerated freight and deliver products to local customer locations, completing approximately 10 stops per day with assistance from a driver helper.
Schedule & Compensation- Four-day workweek, scheduled Monday-Friday
- Early morning start times between 3:00 AM and 4:00 AM
- 10-14 hour days
- No weekend work required
- $37.45 per hour, paid weekly
- Overtime paid after 40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities- Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer on local delivery routes.
- Transport refrigerated freight and various products.
- Complete approximately 10 delivery stops per day.
- Unload products at customer locations with assistance from a driver helper.
- Operate a pallet jack and liftgate for palletized freight.
- Follow all applicable safety and transportation regulations.
Equipment & Physical Requirements- 48-foot refrigerated trailers.
- Automatic transmission tractors.
- Trucks are preloaded before departure.
- Ability to lift approximately 50-60 lbs.
- Drivers may operate different trucks throughout the assignment.
Qualifications- Valid Class A CDL.
- At least 6 months of Class A driving experience preferred; relevant experience may also be considered.
- No major moving violations within the past 3 years.
- No DUI/OWI convictions.
- Must successfully pass background and drug screenings.
- No additional CDL endorsements required.
