Seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for an ongoing coverage opportunity in a collaborative community hospital setting. This position offers manageable patient volumes, medium-acuity cases, and the opportunity to provide comprehensive emergency care at a Level III Trauma Center.

• Shift Length: 12-hour physician shifts

• Monthly Commitment: Approximately 12 shifts per month

• Annual ED Volume: 12,000 visits

• ED Beds: 11

• Patient Acuity: Medium

• Admission Rate: 10%

• Trauma Designation: Level III Trauma Center

• EMR: EDIF Medhost

• Specialized stroke intervention services

• Certified Chest Pain Center

• On-site helipad for critical air ambulance transfers

• Advanced emergency care capabilities

• Multidisciplinary clinical support team

Licensure

• Active Missouri medical license or ability to obtain.

Board Certification

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine.

• ABEM preferred.

• Physicians with alternative acceptable board certifications may be considered with significant Emergency Medicine experience.

Experience

• Previous Emergency Medicine experience required.

• Comprehensive Emergency Medicine skill set.

• Comfortable practicing independently in a community hospital environment.

• Ability to manage a broad range of emergency presentations.

• Approximately 12 shifts per month.

• Consistent 12-hour physician shifts.

• Manageable annual ED volume of approximately 12,000 visits.

• Medium-acuity patient population.
