What You ll Do
- Provide inpatient pediatric care and critical care coverage in a 6-bed PICU.
- Support pediatric patients on the inpatient floor and provide emergency department consultations.
- Perform procedures including intubations, lumbar punctures, line placement, chest tube placement, and CPR.
- Collaborate with Level III NICU services and access telephone consultation with a quaternary care center.
- Participate in daytime in-house coverage and nighttime home call.
- Contribute to teaching opportunities with a family medicine residency program.
- Collaborate with onsite Pediatric Surgery, Gastroenterology, ENT, and Anesthesia services.
What You Need
Required: - Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Pediatric Critical Care, or Pediatric Cardiology with an additional year of CICU training.
- Ability to provide pediatric inpatient and critical care services.
- Residency within the immediate local area may be required; relocation may be necessary.
Preferred: - Experience providing care in a PICU, pediatric inpatient unit, or emergency department consultation setting.
- Interest in teaching and working with resident physicians.
