Job Description - Construction Support Services - Western Massachusetts
This is a highly unique opportunity to be on the front line of the evolving construction planning and project controls industry, working on major contracts with a diversified client field of established construction firms. As our operations have grown we are looking for a Civil Engineer, Construction Manager or Information Technology Specialist with 1-5 years of engineering/construction experience to join our team. Experience working on construction projects and a bachelor's degree in an Engineer field is a plus. This person will work with our senior level staff to provide construction project management support services to our clients on multiple heavy civil (bridge, highway, utility) and commercial construction projects. These services are offered on a project by project basis, allowing exposure and experience across our multiple services.
It is expected that this person will work with our senior staff and will be able to take on more and more challenging projects over time. The company has a strong promote from within sentiment and are expecting this person to grow in experience and position.
This position offers a stable living location in the Western Massachusetts area, working out of our Agawam, MA office location. It will involve occasional travel throughout Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New England as our footprint increases.
The Construction Engineer role involves the following core competencies:
- Ability to read and interpret contract plans and blueprints
- Ability to interpret and understand contract specifications and project constraints
- Ability to learn and comprehend construction processes and sequences
- Ability to lead a discussion in a group setting
- Detail orientated
- Solid technical writing ability
- Self starter and self manager, efficient with their time
- Degree in Civil Engineer and/or Construction Management a plus
- Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook and Teams
- Adobe and/or Bluebeam
Experience:
- Heavy civil, highway, or roadway construction: 1 year minimum (Preferred)
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineer and/or Construction Management a plus
- College graduates with an interest in construction management and/or construction experience encourage to apply
