We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pool & Hot tub Technician(s) to join our team. This is a part time hourly job. Candidate will typically work Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays; minimum pay will be for 16 hours a week, more as need arises. You will pick your truck up each morning and return it at the end of the day. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and servicing residential and commercial swimming pools and hot tubs to ensure they are clean, safe, and functioning properly. This role requires mechanical aptitude, hands-on skills, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. Must be comfortable talking to customers and able to up-sell services and repairs as needed. Prior service technician & repair experience is helpful along with familiarity with pool maintenance equipment and hand tools. The Pool Technician will play a vital role in ensuring the longevity and safety of pool systems through routine inspections, repairs, and cleaning. We have openings for both part time and full time, Rotating Saturday call-out availability required ; Company truck & uniform provided.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular pool cleaning, including skimming, vacuuming, brushing, and chemical balancing to maintain water quality.
- Conduct routine inspections of pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, and chlorinators.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues using hand tools and power tools; replace faulty parts as needed.
- Maintain pool systems by performing necessary repairs or replacements of equipment components.
- Ensure all safety standards are followed during maintenance procedures.
- Document service activities accurately and communicate findings or recommendations to clients.
- Conduct neighborhood marketing: door hangers, yard signs, talk to neighbors in community.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and ensure all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
- No moving violations in last 3 years, clean record, must pass background check and follow all driving laws including speed limits.
Requirements
- Must be able to communicate with Customers face to face and via text/call, ability to recognize needed repairs and explain service details to customers is a must.
- Mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
- Prior experience as a service technician or in pool maintenance is required.
- Familiarity with pool cleaning techniques and chemical balancing procedures.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and other maintenance equipment safely, and manage physical requirements of working outside year round.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Must be willing to "work neighborhoods" and talk to potential customers; leaving door hangers, positioning signs.
- Valid driver's license is required; ability to travel between job sites as needed.
- Must have reliable transportation to get back and forth to work.
- Must have working cell phone, you will use to access our ap.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy equipment, bending, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
