Personal Care Assistant - PCA

Family is searching for a full-time individual; Tentative schedule (Monday-Friday/35-40 hours per week, 9am-5pm) 1-on-1 program for a 26yr old special needs man with little behavioral issues. This individual must make independent decisions, plan daily activities and adapt to change within employer's home life. Be proactive and a self-starter. This is not a babysitting position.

Caregiver duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to the following;

Personal Care (Bathing/Grooming/Dressing/Toileting, etc.)

Life Skills (Shopping, Doctor Appointments, etc.)

Chores (Laundry/Trash/Dishes/Making Bed/Cleaning Room, etc.)

Communication (Cognitive direction and proper word reminders, Daily Paperwork and Communication Logs, etc.)

Fun Activities

Individual must have own vehicles with clean driving record. Must pass background check. Nonsmokers preferred.

Worker will be working for a Private In-Home Family. While working might have to attend family functions and possible family trips.
