Pacific Equity & Loan is seeking a consultant with experience in construction project management, budgets, and contractor coordination to support our real estate lending business.
This is a unique opportunity to apply your construction knowledge in a construction-adjacent industry. While the skills below are important, they don't capture the full scope of the role. We're looking for someone curious, adaptable, and willing to apply their experience to new challenges.

Key Responsibilities
- Review project scopes of work, budgets, schedules, and construction progress.
- Identify construction risks, delays, and cost concerns, and recommend practical solutions.
- Conduct weekly site visits to assess progress and quality.
- Communicate with the PEAL team, contractors, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
- Review project costs, change orders, and supporting documentation.
- Apply construction expertise to project oversight and the draw review process.
- Maintain accurate records and help improve internal processes.
- Evaluate permitting and building-code considerations as they relate to project progress.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of relevant construction or project management experience; a related degree is a plus.
- Experience managing multiple projects, budgets, and timelines.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety standards.
- Clear communication, sound judgment, and strong organizational skills.
- Comfort using project management software and Microsoft Office.
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn the real estate lending side of construction.
- PMP or other relevant certifications are a plus.
Compensation & Schedule
- Compensation: Up to $10,000 per month.
- Hours: Up to 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday.
- Hybrid schedule: Remote work on Wednesdays and Fridays, with required site visits.
