We are actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join the innovative team at Cure Tablet in El Paso, Texas. In this full-time remote position, you will focus on delivering essential mental health services to clients who are navigating the complexities of co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Work Environment
This position operates in a fully remote setting, providing the flexibility to work from home while maintaining strong connections with our multidisciplinary team through virtual platforms. Our hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with occasional evening hours based on client appointments. This structure enables you to balance professional responsibilities with personal commitments while delivering high-quality care to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate each client's mental health and substance use challenges, effectively identifying the presence of co-occurring disorders.
- Collaborate with clients to create customized treatment plans that address their unique needs, utilizing evidence-based interventions tailored to their specific circumstances.
- Provide both individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on developing essential coping mechanisms, relapse prevention strategies, and techniques for emotional regulation.
- Coordinate care with a diverse team of professionals including psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists to ensure a unified and holistic treatment approach.
- Implement regular substance use monitoring and motivational interviewing techniques, empowering clients to engage actively in their recovery process.
- Educate clients and their families on the interconnectedness of mental health and substance use disorders, enhancing their understanding of treatment protocols and the importance of compliance.
- Maintain precise and timely documentation of treatment progress and interventions in accordance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring the highest quality of care.
- Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and continuing education training to enhance your skills and knowledge in the treatment of co-occurring disorders.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will serve a diverse population of individuals struggling with a variety of mental health issues and substance use disorders. Understanding cultural sensitivities and specific community challenges in El Paso will enhance your ability to connect with clients effectively.
Qualifications
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
- Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapies pertinent to co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
- A solid understanding of the complex relationship between mental health and substance use disorders.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Preferred Experience
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience in mental health counseling, particularly with clients facing co-occurring disorders.
- Experience working in an outpatient setting that offers integrated care solutions.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with telehealth platforms.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary for this role ranges from $75,000 to $100,000, complemented by a competitive sign-on bonus.
