Job Description Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

We are currently seeking qualified and experienced nursing professionals for Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) opportunities in correctional healthcare facilities across California.

Candidates must possess an active California LVN License, as California recognizes the Licensed Vocational Nurse designation for this position.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Minimum 24 months of LVN experience within the last 3 years in a public or private institution providing direct patient care.

- Current and unrestricted California LVN License.

- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Responsibilities:

- Provide basic nursing services and assist patients with daily healthcare needs.

- Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.

- Measure and record vital signs and other relevant clinical information.

- Assist with medical examinations and routine treatment procedures.

- Observe patient conditions and report changes to RNs and Physicians.

- Assist in collecting specimens and preparing patients for diagnostic tests.

- Maintain accurate medical records and nursing reports.

- Provide appropriate patient education and health guidance.

- Assist with implementing patient care and treatment plans.

- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.
