Provide outpatient consultation and longitudinal care for patients with heart rhythm disorders (e.g., atrial fibrillation, SVT, VT, bradyarrhythmias, inherited arrhythmia syndromes). Interpret and manage noninvasive EP studies, including ECGs, Holter monitors, event monitors, implantable loop records, and remote device monitoring. Perform invasive EP procedures, inpatient EP consults and co-manage patients on Telemetry, step-down, and ICU units. Participate in EP call coverage as scheduled, and maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation consistent with hospital, regulatory, and payer requirements. Work collaboratively with general cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, anesthesiologists, intensivists, and primary care physicians to provide coordinated patient care.
Education and Experience Requirements
Requires M.D. or foreign equivalent; completion of residency in Internal Medicine and completion of fellowships in cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology; and eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Tennessee.
