A healthcare organization in the Salisbury, MD area is looking for an experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join its nursing team!

Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to patients in a Medical-Surgical unit
-
Assess patient conditions and monitor changes in health status
-
Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
-
Develop and implement individualized patient care plans
-
Monitor vital signs, document patient progress, and maintain accurate medical records
-
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
-
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
-
Follow established patient safety and infection prevention protocols
Qualifications:
-
Active RN license with appropriate Maryland practice privileges, including a valid compact RN license
-
BSN or willingness to obtain a BSN within 3 years of hire
-
Active NIHSS certification or ability to obtain certification prior to hire

Medical-Surgical nursing experience preferred
-
Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Ability to work 12-hour day shifts
