Immediate Opening Full-Time Southwest Florida
We are seeking an experienced Lead Storefront & Curtainwall Fabricator to join our fabrication team in Southwest Florida.
This is a hands-on lead position for someone who knows commercial aluminum systems, understands how to read shop drawings and cut lists, and can take a fabrication package from material preparation through accurate assembly. The right candidate will be comfortable leading work on the shop floor while maintaining high standards for quality, accuracy, production, and safety.

What You'll Do
As Lead Fabricator, you will be responsible for coordinating and performing the fabrication of commercial aluminum storefront and curtainwall systems.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead day-to-day storefront and curtainwall fabrication activities
- Review shop drawings, fabrication drawings, cut lists, and material requirements before beginning production
- Measure, lay out, cut, drill, notch, machine, prep, and assemble aluminum framing members
- Fabricate storefront entrances, door frames, window systems, curtainwall assemblies, and related components
- Verify dimensions and fabrication requirements against approved drawings
- Identify fabrication conflicts, missing material, or drawing discrepancies before they affect production
- Set up and safely operate saws, drills, routers, punches, fabrication machinery, and hand tools
- Coordinate workflow to keep jobs moving according to production schedules
- Organize materials and components by project
- Perform quality-control checks throughout fabrication and prior to releasing completed material
- Help troubleshoot fabrication and assembly issues
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe fabrication area
- Train and guide other fabrication team members
- Communicate material needs, production issues, and job status to management
- Help minimize material waste, rework, and fabrication errors
- Ensure finished products meet company quality standards before leaving the shop
What We're Looking For
Storefront and/or curtainwall fabrication experience is strongly preferred.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Hands-on experience fabricating commercial aluminum storefront and curtainwall systems
- Strong understanding of commercial glazing and aluminum framing components
- Ability to read and work from architectural drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication details
- Experience reading measurements accurately and working with tight tolerances
- Experience using fabrication equipment and common shop tools
- Knowledge of storefront doors, frames, hardware preparation, and related components
- Ability to plan work and keep multiple jobs organized
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to recognize problems before material is fabricated incorrectly
- Ability to lead by example and help less-experienced fabricators improve their skills
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace
Lead-Level Experience
We're not simply looking for someone who can operate a saw.
We're looking for a fabricator who understands how the complete system goes together and can take ownership of fabrication quality.
A strong candidate should be able to receive drawings and materials, understand what needs to be produced, organize the fabrication sequence, verify dimensions, catch potential issues, and deliver accurate finished assemblies to the next stage of production or installation.
Experience with major commercial aluminum storefront or curtainwall systems is a plus.
