Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Class A Transfer Truck Driver to join our logistics team in Jurupa Valley. This role is primarily responsible for the efficient transportation of materials-typically to golf courses, parks, schools etc.-between transfer stations and designated landfills or processing facilities.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience maneuvering heavy equipment in tight spaces and a steadfast commitment to maintaining a clean driving record.
Must be able to drive 18 speed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Safe Operation: Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers, specifically transfer trucks, on local routes and within facility grounds.
Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle roadworthiness and compliance with FMCSA regulations.
Maneuvering: Navigate through high-traffic Inland Empire corridors and execute precise backing and dumping maneuvers in uneven terrain or confined landfill environments.
Documentation: Maintain accurate electronic or manual logs (ELDs), including weight tickets, fuel receipts, and maintenance reports.
Vehicle Care: Keep the tractor and trailer in clean, operable condition; report any mechanical issues to the maintenance team immediately.
Compliance: Adhere to all DOT regulations, local traffic laws, and site-specific safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of verifiable Class A commercial driving experience
Licensing: Valid California Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
Driving Record: Must provide a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) (no DUIs in the last 7 years; no more than 1 point/moving violation in the last 3 years).
Physical Ability: Must be able to sit for long periods and climb in/out of the cab frequently. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Availability: Flexibility to work early morning shifts and occasional Saturdays as required by volume.
Reliability: Strong punctual work ethic and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
