Job/Practice Description: Psychiatric NP/PA - Full-time, Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
- Works at several locations, prioritized by patient volume 2 days per week based in Hartsville, SC
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and mental status examinations
- Diagnose and manage mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the primary care provider, including prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications
- Provide crisis intervention and ongoing psychotherapy as appropriate
- Complete timely EMR documentation for each patient encounter
- Request, obtain, and evaluate screening test results
- Monitor treatment regimens in selected populations
- Confer with collaborating physician as needed
- Participate in quality assurance reviews and practice transformation initiatives
- Serve as an advocate and liaison to local hospitals and health organizations
- Functions under a collaborative practice agreement per South Carolina regulations
Requirements: - Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing, or Master's in Physician Assistant Sciences from an accredited program
- Licensed as an APRN or PA in South Carolina
- National certification (nurse practitioner certifying body, or NCCPA for PAs)
- PMHNP-BC certification preferred (or CAQ in Psychiatry from NCCPA for PAs)
- Minimum 2 years of psychiatric NP/PA experience strongly preferred
- BLS certification required
