Summary CHS United Plains is looking for a Truck Driver to join our team. This individual is responsible for hauling agricultural commodities to our customers in a timely manner. The schedule for this position is M-F home daily with weekends as needed during the busy seasons. The ideal candidate would possess a Class A CDL.

Responsibilities - Operate a semi tractor and trailer and or straight truck to deliver products to customers in the area in a safe and timely manner.
- Load and unload product as required, including connecting and disconnecting trailers for product transfer, and follow safety protocols for handling products
- Prepare and complete delivery documentation and daily load/unload reports; record accurate electronic logs.
- Provide professional customer service during pickups and deliveries and maintain positive customer interactions
- Drive in accordance with DOT regulations, company policies, and compliance requirements
- Perform pre trip and post trip inspections, and report maintenance, safety, or equipment concerns promptly. Perform interior maintenance and upkeep as needed.
- Report accidents, incidents, near misses, and equipment issues; follow required
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance route knowledge, equipment operation skills, and safety awareness
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager. Additional maintenance, cleaning, and operational tasks as needed
Minimum Qualifications (required) - Entry-level to early-career commercial driving role; prior experience preferred but not required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Class A or Class B CDL
- Must meet age requirement
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and compliance, and complete required documentation accurately.
Additional Qualifications - Prior commercial driving experience (including experience operating a straight truck or tractor/trailer)
- Demonstrated safe-driving performance and ability to make sound safety decisions in changing weather and road conditions
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

Physical Requirements - Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to safely climb in and out of truck cabs and trailers
